Frugal Tip Friday
Okay, I know it is Monday! But this fun frugal tip can be used for Valentine's day or any other day. Make Crazy Crayons from all those old crayons you have sitting around. Here are the instructions:
You need a kitchen knife, old crayons (preferably Crayola. Other brands sometimes leave a wax at the bottom of the crayon ). and an old muffin tin ( that you aren't using anymore). We used Heart shaped muffin tins but circle one will work fine also. Have your kids help you peel the crayons. Then start breaking the crayons into small pieces or parents can cut them smaller using a kitchen knife. Let children organize the colors into the different groups in the muffin tin. Fill about 1/3 of the way full. Bake at 150 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or just until the crayons have melted. Remove the shapes after they have cooled. If they won't come out, place tray in the freezer for an hour, and the crayons will pop out. Have fun!
go here and print out you coupon or free medium seasoned curly fries on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at any participating Jack-in-the-Box restaurant. One coupon per guest per visit.

FREE 1st Birthday Cake
My friend called them to confirm it. The deal is: it is a single layer round cake. You can pick the flavor and frosting. However you can't have them put Elmo or something on it (maybe if you pay for that). They will basically write "Happy 1st Brithday". You also need to order the cake one day in advance.
Pretty good deal, huh? Even if you need a bigger cake or you are wanting to bake your own cupcakes, you can still get that free cake from Albertsons. So go for it!"

Did you know that you can download electronic coupons to your Smiths Fresh Value Card? These coupons will stay on your card until you use them or they expire. The coupons can be used with a manufacturer coupon also. For example: Yo Plus Yoplait yogurt is on sale for $2.00. I had a $1.50 manufacturer coupon and I had also loaded a $1.00 off electronic coupon on to my card. So I actually made $.50 on each pack of yogurts. I like those numbers! Go to www.smithsfoodanddrug.com. Click on In store and then coupons. You can register with 3 different companies to load coupons: Shortcuts, Cellfire and Proctor & Gamble. You just need your Smith Fresh Value Card #, which is located on the back.
Have you had a chance to check out Fresh and Easy Market? They are a really fun store to visit. You can only use Fresh and Easy coupons(watch your ads that come on Tuesdays in your mail. They usually send a coupon that will be $5 off/$20 purchase. They do not except manufacturer coupons. But each sale period, they have "Extra Low Price" items. Here are the "Extra Low Price" items on sale now (valid until February 17th):
Ground Beef 80/20 $1.44/lb.
Ragu Pasta Sauce (Traditional or Meat sauce) 26 oz. $.99 each
