US Bank branches (valid at in-store branches only-inside select Smith's, Albertson's and Vons stores) are running a promotion until April 3rd. If you open a new checking account you will be eligible for $75 worth of free groceries (new customers only).
Here is how it works:
Open a free checking account before April 3rd with at least $75 in the account. When you receive your debit card (usually 3-5 days later) use it to purchase $75 worth of groceries. Take the receipt to US Bank and they will credit your account back with the $75. You have 30 days from when you get your debit card to purchase the groceries/gift cards and have the $75 reimbursed.
A great idea would be to purchase a $75 Smith's gift card and take the receipt to US Bank . They will credit you back the $75 and now you can use your gift card whenever you want. This will also work on any gift card that Smith's have in stock. You could do a combination of gift cards or just one. What a great deal!
